Brian Burke’s love for music was evident early on as his parents tell tales of him singing constantly from the time he was only two years old. At the age of 8, he picked up a guitar and took lessons but was easily sidetracked by other boyhood activities such as football, baseball, fishing, and hunting. However, in high school, after seeing Cory Morrow perform a private party, Brian knew it was time to strap the guitar back on and pursue his dream.

He began learning cover songs and playing them for his friends. Shortly to follow Brian developed a taste for songwriting and soon began crafting his own songs using what he had gained by listening to his early influences. An obvious passion, Brian began playing acoustic shows in his senior year of high school and continued to do so throughout college during his days at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. This continued as he attended Texas State University where he began to catch the ear of many Texas Music fans. This ultimately led Brian down the path in which he now finds himself.

In May, with the help of some friends in the business, Brian put together a 5 song EP to introduce himself to the scene.  He is currently pushing the band's first single, "One Night (Rendezvous)," with plans to record a full record in January of 2010. Brian has recently relocated his band to Fort Worth, TX.

Due to excellent songwriting and killer vocals, Brian is already creating a buzz in the Texas Music scene. With a full schedule, high energy live show and a much anticipated album in the works, the Brian Burke Band will be sure to keep you coming back for more!
