Costello is an original Texas Country music group from McAllen, Texas. The band is Max Moreno (lead vocals), Chad Tolar (keyboards), Matt Gonzalez (lead guitar), Dusty Salas (bass), Denver Garcia (guitar & steel guitar), Jason Ellsworth (fiddle) and Andy Gonzalez (drums). Costello's distinct South Texas country sound is a product of the band members' South Texas roots.

Costello formed in March of 2013. By June of 2013, Costello had released its first five track EP entitled "Further Down the Line." The EP was immediately played on KTEX 100.3 FM, the largest country radio station in South Texas. Costello experienced unprecedented growth in the six months following the release of its first EP. From opening up for top touring acts like Josh Abbott Band and Casey Donahew Band in front of thousands of fans to earning an official corporate sponsorship from Coors Light, Costello is definitely a band on the rise.

The band recently completed recording its first full length CD entitled "Songs About Her" at Sound of Rain studios in Edinburg, Texas. Costello reunited with favored producer Charlie Vela who recorded the band's first EP "Further Down the Line.” “Songs About Her" includes tracks you can hear at Costello's live shows, including "We Need Water," "Do You Drink?," "Flew Into Love," "Hurts So Bad," "Night You Walked Away," and more. Costello expects to release the new CD in July of 2014.

Costello has performed with several top artists in the Red Dirt music scene, including Josh Abbott Band, Casey Donahew Band, Cody Johnson, The Turnpike Troubadours, Cory Morrow, Kyle Park, Stoney LaRue, Mike and The Moonpies and Charlie Robison. As a newcomer on the scene, Costello was surprised to find out firsthand how genuine, friendly, and welcoming these musicians are. The Texas Country / Red Dirt artists are something special. Costello even "crossed over" and opened for the famous 80's cover band The Spazmatics, who just blinded the band with science!

Costello is committed to touring and spreading its brand of original Texas Country music across the State of Texas and beyond. The band has performed at the famous Blue Light Live (Lubbock), Skooterz (Amarillo), Lone Star Bar (Midland), Local Bar (Lubbock), Graham Central Station (Odessa), Nutty Brown Café (Austin), Billy's Ice (New Braunfels) and Clayton's Beach Bar & Grill (South Padre Island) just to name a few. Costello has some major upcoming tour dates, including its debut performance at the famous House of Blues in Houston, Texas on August 16, 2014 and dates at River Road Ice House (New Braunfels), The Aardvark (Fort Worth) and Half Moon Saloon (Tyler). The group looks forward to expanding its 2014 tour schedule into the bordering states of Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico.

Costello maintains a strong presence in the fairs and festivals market. The band was selected to perform at several major festivals in 2013 and 2014, including the Poteet Strawberry Festival, Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show, Tamale Fest, Fiesta Edinburg, and BorderFest. Costello is winning over new fans with every performance, and looks to continue growing its fan base by performing a large fairs and festivals across the United States.

The group believes hard work pays off. Max Moreno, the lead singer of Costello, enjoys working with his band mates and affectionately refers to them as his "band of brothers." Max is the primary songwriter for the band. "I've always considered my two best friends a pencil and a piece of paper. After years of writing for myself, by myself, I'm now surrounded by talented band mates who contribute to the songwriting process. We are all shooting for the bulls eye."

Chad Tolar, the keyboard/piano player and manager for Costello, stated "We are blessed to have so many talented musicians and songwriters in the group. Max and I allow every band member to bring his own individual experiences, styles, and backgrounds to the songwriting process. As a result, the Costello sound is very unique and unmistakably 'Costello.' You won't confuse us with anything else on Country radio, that's for sure."
