JACKOPIERCE formed in 1988 as a duo of Cary Pierce and Jack O'Neill while the two were students at Southern Methodist University in Texas. They generated a large local following before taking to the road where they toured relentlessly building up a national fanbase and promoting their three self-released albums. JACKOPIERCE had their major label debut in 1994 with Bringing on the Weather. In 1995 they added drummer Earl Darling and bassist Clay Pendergrass. The band eventually decided to call it quits in 1997 following a farewell tour.

One of the greatest Texas Music bands ever. They were Texas Music before it was born. It is awesome to see them back together.

since the band is unrated thus far i feel ishould give an opinion. the band has shown wounderful song writing ability and is quite pleasant to listen to. i feel the band is too much forgotten in todays music world.
