Kevin is simply amazing! He is truly one of the best singer-songwriters to come out of Texas. His songs are full of depth and incorporate many different styles of music. His influences of Monte Montgomery, Steve Earle, Ryan Adams, and Jack Ingram are all components of his style. His originality and musicianship is clearly portrayed on his debut album MILK ICE MEAT FOOD BEER. I can't wait for the next album and to see him play at the Rosebud Cafe in Victoria on November 27. There's only one direction Kevin is going, and that's straight to the top. Check him out if you haven't seen him, you won't be disappointed.
I first saw Kevin play at Tavern on the Gruene with the Geoff Spahr Band. After hearing Kevin live, I knew I had to have his CD. My biggest problem now is that I want Kevin to make ANOTHER album!!! I've seen him live 3 times and can't wait for the next time. If you get an opportunity to see him live, take it! If not, buy the CD and you won't regret it!
