CD Review - LES ALEXANDER - Will You Still Talk To Me LES ALEXANDER Will You Still Talk To Me LMA Records (10 Selections – Playing Time 33:50) Texan singer/songwriter Les Alexander steps back into the 90’s with his Garth Brooks vocal style…almost refreshing in light of Brook’s absence from the airwaves in recent time. Alexander wrote all but three of the songs here, and shines best on his ballads At Home, Wishing Upon The Stars and the swing tune, G.U.I.L.T.Y. Also included are solid covers of the Alan Jackson album cut Allergic To The Blues and the Hank Williams classic, Honky Tonk Blues. The album was self-produced by Les Alexander, and recorded in Nashville studios with ace session players like Pete Wade, Buddy Emmons, Hargus ‘Pig’ Robbins and Buddy Spicher, sitting in. Everytime I listen to this CD I have a new favorite song. Any one of the cuts on this CD can hold it's own to anything put out in Nashville today. Les' song lyrics avoid the cliche and the trite and express thoughts and feelings in a fresh new way while still conveying the "classic" country feel. A great effort from a new country artist.

I have listened to Les's CD, and it blew me away... His talent in writing songs, and recording such good country music is a breath of fresh air... The Quality of Music and the Class A musicians used is wonderful! He will go far with the talent he has ... If you ever get the chance to see Les I highly recomend it... I recommend his new CD “Will You Still Talk To Me” to all country music fans - the CD is a must buy! Terry Beene Terry awards

Wow! I mean a BIG WOW!!! This kid is great. The title song will pull the tears out of the most hardened soul. A newcomer with a sound in the 2000's but a voice from the 50's. Seven original songs, each a different genre of country, ballads, honkey tonk, gospel, beer bottle belt buckle beat'n music, and a tribute to Buck. A definite buy!
