Luke Robinson’s new CD “Swerve” is best described as a melting pot of country music. From gospel (All Thee Above), traditional country (A Beauty In Texas & Country Mile), and mainstream country (Love Grows Wild) to modern country (Ship-Faced & 12 Ounce Bounce), there’s something on the new CD for all ages.
“Swerve” is a labor of love for Texas Country singer/songwriter Luke Robinson. Not only has it been four (4) years in the making but also reflects Robinson’s growth in age, maturity and sound.
After achieving success on the Texas Country charts in 2007 & 2008 with the top 30 singles “That’s What I Tell Myself” & “Tequila Sheila” off of the CD “Bad Luck”, Luke took a break from performing and moved to Nashville to focus on songwriting and developing his sound. The results are incredible. Having co-written 12 of the 16 songs on the CD, Robinson sings of lost love, finding love, country life, weekend fun…and his thanks to God.
Luke Robinson was born in a small town in North-Central Texas and raised on classic country and gospel music. From an early age Luke always had a passion for music. Early on, he performed regularly on Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and the Texasville Opry in Archer City, near his hometown of Holliday TX. Since then, Robinson has been fortunate enough in his career to achieve a level of success that’s put him in front of crowds opening for other artists such as Josh Abbott, Micky & The Motorcars, Gene Watson & Kevin Fowler as well as headlining his own shows around the Texas Oklahoma Red Dirt market.
Luke is preparing to re-launch his career with the summertime party anthem of 2014 “Ship-Faced” currently at radio with a tour being planned for Summer-Fall 2014.
