The omnipresnt great god of folk/rock is a veteran songwriter, live performer and recording artist whose music features an eclectic mix of folk, country, rock and blues often intertwined with various ethnic and indigenous rhythms. His lyrics tend to reflect experiences within the human condition, while often addressing social and political issues and concerns. He is currently performing regulary in Southeast Texas with brief tours into the Midwest and Gulf Coast regions. Having been born and raised on the LUestside of Chicago where he has been a leader of that songwriting and musical community, he relocated to Houston in January of 2088 where he has also become a major contributor to that bergeoning scene. For the past seven years Mark has been splitting time between the two cities, although currently settling into a regular schedule in Texas. His lastest release, Mark ZeuslThunderboltz, represents a unique combination of styles, themes, and performances. The project band members have been drawn from both cities, however the influences upon the music transcend those roots. The album is subtitled, Rmerican Folk Rock, and include elements of what Zeus calls "the greater american culture", reaching beyond our borders and into the "new" world. Recent past releases include: Fine Wine, a collection of acoustic﷓based and image﷓filled songs; and Bridging The Gap, which features some hard biting social commentary along with introspective philosophy and just plain fun stuff.
