Ask any member of The Railhouse Band what style of music they draw inspiration from and you’ll get responses ranging from swing to the blues to metal and folk, but the musical styles they would all agree upon that have had a unifying affect would be country and western. Yes, both kinds of music.

Incorporating country and western swing standards alongside original numbers, The Railhouse Band first and foremost plays dance music. Reminiscent of the Texas bands of the 30’s and 40s, the band delivers a performance where their enthusiasm carries over to the audience and all have a terrific time.

Staying true to many of the musical American traditions of real country and western swing, they are helping bridge a generation gap by introducing it to new audiences who can appreciate great dance music.

Deriving their name from the continual nights spent playing venues along the railroad tracks throughout the hill country; the band naturally began calling themselves The Railhouse Band.

The band’s lineup includes Candler Wilkinson IV on guitar and lead vocals, whose impressive yodeling will leave you wanting more.

The rhythm section includes Nick Lochman, on the upright bass and Dave Sims Jr. on drums, who are both staples of the San Marcos music scene.

Contributing hot leads and solos are Elijah Stone on fiddle and Curtis Clogston on the steel guitar.

With their first album in the works and shows and residencies throughout the hill country area, expect exciting things to come from this band….a band you will definitely want to see live.
