A melting pot of infectious swaggering rock laced with Latin percussion and fiery live performances has made VALLEJO one of the most popular bands to hail from Austin, Texas.

Raised in the small town of El Campo, Texas on their parent’s LP collection of Tito Puente, Santana & Tijuana Brass, VALLEJO was first formed by the three Vallejo brothers A.J. (Vocals, Guitar), Alejandro (Drums), and Omar (Bass). Learning music by playing trumpet in the high school marching band and jamming to friend’s mixtapes of classic rock and funk, the brothers eventually migrated to picking up the guitar, bass and drums to create something that was instantly recognizable on the airwaves as their own.

Since then, VALLEJO has racked up fans one by one with thousands of high energy shows and a growing catalog of album releases including Sins (Chapel Lane), Shining Sun, Beautiful Life (TVT Records), Into the New (Epic Records) with famed Latin music producer Emilio Estefan Jr. (Miami Sound Machine), Stereo, Leftovers, Steamboat Live & Black Sky on the Vallejo brother’s own label VMG (Vallejo Music Group). In, 2009 VALLEJO released their critically acclaimed album, Thicker Than Water (VMG/Quadra) and recently took home the award for “Best Rock Band” at the Texas Latin Music Awards.

VALLEJO has toured extensively throughout the United States and Mexico sharing the stage with bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Fuel, 3 Doors Down, Juanes, Molotov, Black Crowes, The Foo Fighters, Matchbox 20, Shinedown & Los Lobos. The band has also had their songs featured in several TV shows such as HBO’s True Blood, ABC’s The Unusuals, WB’s Roswell, MTV’s Road Rules and UPN’s America’s Next Top Model.

In 2010, VALLEJO recently released their newest CD entitled Acousta, which features acoustic renditions of the band’s songs throughout their career that were voted on by fans online. Vallejo is also currently in the studio recording new material with plans to release a new album later in the year.

Vallejo is one of Austin's best secrets!! I just moved to Hurst from Austin and plan to promote them like crazy. I have everything they've recorded as well as tons of memorabilia. This is my favrite band along with Del Castillo and Los Lonely Boys. These guys rock on stage and I want the rest of the world to hear what they might be missing!

Vallejo is absolutly awesome. This comes from someone who listens to country and western music 95 percent of the time. I discovered Vallejo at Mardi Gras in Austin a couple of years ago and have been hooked ever since. I have bought 3 of their CDs and have gone to see them live numerous times in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Galveston. Rock on guys because WE LOVE WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!!!!

I hate Vallejo. The lead singer is a complete idiot. Unfortunately, I've seen them live twice since they were playing in two music festivals I went to. They are not talented and I wouldn't pay $1 to see them play.

I've seen Vallejo 3 times in Corpus and I have to say they've kicked some serious ass every time. I've met AJ, Alex, and Diegeo and think they're all the greatest!

I saw Vallejo in Austin a couple of days ago. I have got to say that they are soooo awesome! My boyfriend is in a band, so we go to watch live bands all the time. This is the best live performance I have seen yet. They were all costumed up like Guns 'n' Roses (another fav band of mine)so that was more brownie points for them. Anyway, Vallejo definitely deserves 5 stars, and I will be buying their CD as soon as get some money!!!!
