by MWD 11/12/2009 Pziko - couldn't agree more. I saw them first at Club Dada in Dallas (while I was living in Amarillo). After that I looked for any excuse for a road trip to Dallas whenever they played there. One of the best live acts I've seen in the past 20 years.
by Pziko 11/11/2009 I saw them live in Boston a long time ago. NEVER expected what I heard, saw and experienced. Bluegrass with attitude. And man did they rock with the acoustic, but at the end of Pass the Whiskey when they switched out for electric? Holy hell in a handbasket, they kicked so much ass it wasn't even funny. Just... WOW. Real pity there isn't more from them.
by Bogie in St. Louis 2/4/2008 Had the incredible good luck to catch 'em live at the HiPointe... I was amazed at the raw power and energy of the performance, but even more so by the talent displayed - frankly, hadn't been expecting much, since I'd already been woefully exposed to some of the "thrash metal" that was prevalent, both at that venue, and in the general musical atmosphere of the time. Instead, what I saw were guys with some serious bluegrass licks (and I grew up in Mercer County, Kentucky...) kickin' it out with a metalhead rock-a-billy fever... WHOA! Ended up with both their disks, and some excellent memories... Guys, a reunion of sorts for a benefit sometime? Please? So we can pass that whiskey 'round again?
