Barry is a native of Galveston, Texas, and began his music career playing the College towns of Austin, San Marcos and College Station, as well as around the gulf coast of Texas. While attending college at Southwest Texas State University, he opened for many Texas acts including B.W. Stevenson, George Strait and Ace in the Hole, Lyle Lovett, Steve Fromholtz, Shake Russell, Dana Cooper, John Vandiver, Willis Alan Ramsey, Robert Earl Keen, Cristopher Cross, Clint Black, Jerry Jeff Walker, Fever Tree, Heyoka, Eric Johnson to name a few, and had to pass up a booking with Leon Russell due to a last minute complication. Barry has played shows with members of bands such as Spirit, Del Castillo, The Outlaws and other Nationally acclaimed acts, and the same stages and venues as Townes Van Zandt to Rick Derringer and Johnny Winter. He has entertained such legends as Jimmy Buffett and Joe Walsh. He has played in the Midwestern United States, Nashville, and from New Orleans to Key West, as well as the Central America countries of Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico and many of over 30 various islands throughout the Caribbean that he has travelled. He moved back to Austin, Texas where he has a recording studio, primarily for recording his own material. Barry has just finished his 11th Album entitled “Premonition”, which includes the song “Thunder Bay”, which was written while he was in Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada. He is starting work on a follow up to the album, "Living in the Land of the Free", which consists of songs written and performed in while in the Caribbean.

Your music still rings true and clear Barry. Remember the Kent Finlay days at Cheatham Street. And Wendy. You and Neil brought a lot of fun to many good times. Music is your gift.
