Cary's music is both fun and serious. But if his music gets under your skin, then move along and keep listening to whatever puts you to sleep. Swinney is slowly smoking out the trendy watered-down songwriters that are ever so popular today.

Cary's finest CD to date! The world needs more folks like Cary.
.....Buddy Holly, Bobby Knight, and CARY SWINNEY........What more could Lubbock want? Thanks for the FINE show at Jake's Back Room !! All the old hippies came out of the woodwork last night. God bless you and Texas.
1-1 = 0
For someone with the gift of lyrics, he uses them poorly to trash something he is not willing to try himself. This is the perfect aethiest country album. Talks of hypocrits and such, not far from Ray Wylie Hubbard. Easy to knock someone elses beliefs.... Try your own if you have any depth besides the next rhyme.
Cary's first recording, Human Masquerade got my attention , it was just plain killer goods in every way. AND if you heard Human Masquerade you'd know this singer writer is unforgettable, no doubt.
Cary's work is riveting, biting lyrics that never hold back and sentiments many hold but can never say. To me , he's Blaze Foley's brother in spirit, they speak the same language,; the undisguised truth. Which for some of us there just is not enough of. If you've never heard him , you really oughta change that and check this guy out. I am a fan through & through.
Just picked up a copy (actually 4 copies) of Big Shots...fan-freaking-tastic!!! No other songwriter (with the possible exception of Steve Earl) speaks more truth with brutal honesty...Cary is a breath of fresh air in a stagnant pop culture world...Keep up the great work!!!
I have heard Birdwatcher, live, and will say that this CD will be a huge hit both in America and Japan. GO CS, give 'em hell.
Best album I've never heard...
It's like money in the bank.
I haven't even heard this release yet but will guarantee it's good!
