Mile by Mile is how Honeybrowne has gained its large, loyal, and growing fan base over the years. Mile by Mile also happens to be the title of the bands fourth studio release on Smith Music. Strong songwriting, edgy musicianship, and availability to their fans made, and have kept, Honeybrowne a staple in the regional Texas Music circuit for ten + years. Mile by Mile, produced by one of Austin's best, Mark Addison (Bob Schneider, Ian Moore, The Summer Wardrobe, etc.), is a must have for music lovers who dig roots-rock, americana, and alt-country sounds, and will undoubtedly help Honeybrowne continue its reign atop the Texas Music scene. Fresh off tour, supporting fan favorite Something To Believe In, released in late 2005, Honeybrowne took some personal time off to welcome two new additions to the clan. Lead singer and songsmith, Fred Andrews, and drummer Stephen Bres both had baby boys in the past year, inspiring them to pen the heart-felt "Personal Lullaby", one of ten tracks off of Mile by Mile. Other stand out tracks include the upbeat tune "Yesterday's News", and the laid back and Wilco-esque sounds of "Help Me Find My Way".

i went to see Honeybrowne at the Down town bar and grill and all i can say is wow. I purchased their CD there and I am so glad my friends drug me down there to listen to some Texas music. On the CD my favorite songs are #1 and #3, but they are all good in there own specail way. Also the guitar player with the size 14 shoe.....HOOOTTT. whenever your back in town i will be seeing you.

having spent a portion of my time in college watching those two guys play and struggle for respect in the musical world, I have developed a bias toward their early music. Though both consider this record a growing pain rather than a representation of their ability, what they said and/or were trying to say captured the imagination of a great number of people in those early days. This album captures the emotional rolercoaster ride that seemed to be their constant companion in those first few years. Overlooking inexperience, it is one of their most profound records. P.S. As disfunctional as the original pair seemed to be at times, their words and music meant the world to a great number of people I knew. They made up all believe, if only for the moment. That's pretty cool. The nicest thing is that these days, you would be hard pressed to find two guys, formerly at odds with one another, more supportive of the other.

Not attacking your review! Go on and Review away buddy!! Just write a REVIEW next time, not a personal attack. All I got out of your so called "review" was that Fred is Full of shit and that Fred changes band members, there for, he's bad at managing his band so don't buy the cd!?!? What are you reviewing there??? Reviews are about the music! So review the music, Not how much you hate Fred!

Lori, I didn't buy the cd, just heard it and didn't like it. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I don't play music. No need to attack someone for sharing their opinion, that's what reviews are for.

For someone that can't stand honeybrowne because they change band members as often as you change your underwear, you sure did purchase the cd in a hurry. It's only been out 3 weeks. The only people that seem to be bitter about the member switch, are EX members. Don't be bitter, just go play in another band!

fred is so full of s#^@ his eyes are brown. He changes band members as often as I change underwear...just a sign that the leadership (or lack of) is very poor. I hate to be negative but these guys suck, don't buy their bs. This cd is horrific.

Of all the artist I have heard, Honeybrowne has the most unique sound. A friend of mine introduced me to this band. If you like something a little different with a Texas feel, these are your boys.

I saw Honeybrowne for the first time last week when they opened for Django Walker in Houston. They put on a great show so I ordered the cd from this site later that week. The cd showed up today and to my surprise, it is autographed by the band. Freaking awesome.
