Steamboat Springs, home to MusicFest, lies against the western ridge of the Continental Divide. Pretty fitting when you think about it - while the Continental Divide is often called the backbone of America, MusicFest represents the backbone of Texas-Americana music. For 21 years, John Dickson and the Dickson Productions team have hand picked the artists who together comprise the edgy, gritty, scenic landscape that is Texas and Americana music. Past appearances have included Billy Joe Shaver, Guy Clark, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Reckless Kelly, Pat Green, Johnny Gimble, Roger Creager, Jack Ingram, Randy Rogers Band, Doug Moreland, Cory Morrow, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Micky & the Motorcars, Kevin Fowler, Stoney LaRue, South Austin Jug Band, Harris & Ryden...and the list goes on. Add to this line up thousands of MusicFest attendees, the beautiful Rocky Mountain setting, a laid back atmosphere, and an abundance of Champagne Powder, and you will likely find MusicFest a permanent event on your calendar.

This was by far one of the greatest events from start to finish I have ever been a part of. The sking is second to none, the music and venues are excellent and you can't beat an entire town full of Texas Country fans! To the poster above, Pat Green isn't Texas Country anymore anyway...so we aren't missing much! Get to Steamboat, you won't regret it and I promise you'll want to go back the next year!
