Shawn Jennings and the Southern Roots Band have been burning up the Texas dance halls and honky tonks for the last few years with their own brand of music. Country, rock and even bluegrass find their way into songs penned by Shawn Jennings, lead singer and songwriter. With their debut CD release in December 2003, the band has received radio airplay across Texas and some overseas. The song "Emily" still fills the dance floors, as does the title track "I need A Margarita". Now with the release of their second album entitled "Broken Wings", the band shows the growth and maturity that will take them to the next level. The first single "Some Broken Hearts Never Mend", hits the airwaves October 2005. This song captures the rich vocals, tight harmonies and honest music that the band has become known for.
