After the success of "Dark Side of a Small Town" and the bench mark recordings of "Soul Shine" Michael O'Neal releases his latest work "Learning as I Go". A collection of new songs wrapped in a 6 panel Digipak that is as entertaining and as nostalgic as the music itself. A ten year veteran of the music scene, Michael O'Neal is known for his heart felt and emotion driven writing. Stories of life, laid over rock, and folk with a touch of blues, "Learning as I Go" is no exception. Twelve all new tracks of life, love, both lost, and new, clearly his greatest work yet. The new cd soul shine is great, from start to finish. The live shows can tell you these guys love what they do, and are awesome at it. Ihave seen the MOB several times and I will go watch them every chance I get. Keep on rockin out to Steve Earl.

This cd has grabbed my attn from the first line of, " I walked into the pawn shop " . This is a truly classical album and I so expect to see him going into the hall of fame. The words ring so true to almost every working man. I cannot put into words how much I enjoy listening to this cd. It let's you know other people go through the same things you do. I expect it to go triple platinum before all is said and done. This is rtrue Texas music and thank you Mr. O'neal for this gift you have given to the world. You could've ignored your talents but you chose to share them and for that I thank you. So, THANK YOU ! A perfectly flawless album ! 10 stars.

This album is the real deal. I haven't heard anything this stirring in music, country or otherwise, in a very long time. Comparisons to Steve Earle are ridiculous because Michael O'Neal blows him away. He's more of a Chris Knight character - lonely, dusty stories of folks who you'd most likely ignore are at the forefront of his songs. Compelling, honest stuff. One of my favorite albums.

Dark side of a small town is a great album. There is not a bad song on the cd. 52 les paul, halfway house, and robs blues, it does not get any better than that
