The darker days are behind Texas country artist Cory Morrow, who has found his salvation through his recent marriage, his sobriety and his newly-found faith in something greater than himself.

What really reflects those beliefs and changes is his latest album, “Brand New Me.”

“It’s got a best replica watches very strong faith-based spiritual sense to it,” said Morrow about his new album. “We’re in a really good place right now, really positive and really aware of what’s going on around us and we’re aware of our position in society and that we have a place for people to kind of feel good for a little while. That’s kind of our calling at this moment.”

Morrow, who was charged with drunken driving and cocaine possession in 2005, has been sober for about a year now. He said he found his salvation through his new marriage and through his newly-found faith in God.

“In that sense, it’s really helped me grow and to learn to be less selfish.”

Morrow’s personal life isn’t the only thing changing. So is his concert.

Recently, Morrow wanted to change his live show and turned to the fans via Facebook to see exactly what they wanted to hear in his performances. Morrow said there were several hundred responses and that he decided to take the most popular suggestions and incorporate them into his show.

What came from that was a change in his playlist that includes songs from Morrow’s earlier albums and things that he hasn’t played in several years. He added that fans should also expect a few cover songs as well.

When asked what the covers would be, Morrow at first wouldn’t say.

“Basically, we’re going to be playing the songs the fans want to hear and they are a pretty wide variety of songs, from acoustic songs to full-blown electric songs to more popular ones and a bunch of new stuff off of the new record. “

“That’s the secret, isn’t it,” he said laughing.

After some prodding, Morrow finally admitted Led Zeppelin and Jackson Browne would be somewhere on the playlist.

“We’re going to be doing some really neat acoustic stuff and some really neat full-band electric and some cool covers that nobody has heard us play and it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
