The Bart Crow Band built its latest album, “Heartworn Tragedy,” around bitter memories and sweet successes.

“It was a culmination of things that my family has been going through for a while,” said the band’s namesake. “It was a lot about a personal journey, getting through it, getting over it and looking back on how it went. That was the bulk of the record.”
