Last Friday night, I caught up with one of my favorite Texas Country artists and New Braunfels local Bleu Edmondson. A few months back, he released his fourth album, which was his third studio release: Future ain’t what it used to be.

The first single off the record, “No room for mercy,” is quickly climbing the Texas music charts and has even hit as high as two and three in recent weeks. Edmondson enjoyed major success off his last studio album, Lost Boy, with his hit “Finger on the trigger” ending up with a music video that received airplay on CMT.

These days he tours around 250 days a year, with the last leg of 2010 being a hectic East Coast trek. In my interview with him, he eluded to 2011 including a big West Coast tour as well as continuing the annual North to Alaska trip with Stoney LaRue, which benefits Autism Speaks.

Check out the video for more, including how he spent his New Year’s Eve, his resolutions (or lack thereof) and details about this year’s North to Alaska trip.

Follow Bleu on twitter @bleuedmondson for tour info and updates. Future is available on itunes and Amazon.com and in stores like Hastings, Walmart and Target.
