Diverse Sounds Of Lauderdale Coming To Roanoke

Jim Lauderdale's career keeps taking interesting turns, as his part in a tour that features his work along with that of Hot Tuna and Charlie Musselwhite, attests. They pull into Roanoke on Sunday night for an appearance at the Jefferson Center. 

Lauderdale, whose songs have been covered by the likes of Patty Loveless, George Jones, Solomon Burke, Vince Gill and George Strait, among dozens of others, has many awards although he sometimes still seems underappreciated.

Though he has won Grammys, received Artist of the Year and Song of the Year awards from the Americana Music Association and has the respect of his peers, he has eluded the limelight.
