GEORGE ENSLE Texas Singer/Songwriter Press Release for immediate release-7-1-12 Gruene Hall in Gruene Texas will host a CD Release celebration for George performing the songs from his new CD “Small Town Sundown” (A Movie in Song) with a Full Band on Monday, July 9th 2012 Between 7:00-11:00 p.m. The new CD Release is a concept project that tells a story about a small town in Texas, and its prodigal’s return: J.D. steps off a Greyhound into Windmill, Texas...It’s been ten years…Now at 28 he’s come back for Grandpa’s funeral…He and his brother and sister have inherited the farm, where he was raised by loving grandparents…The farm is facing foreclosure…His brother and sister have put Grandma in a nursing home and want to sell the farm to a “Big Box” discount superstore which would force many local family owned stores out of business…J.D. reunites with Grandma and gets reacquainted with some of the town’s strong and sometimes colorful characters…He meets a lady and wants to stay, but he doesn’t know how…He’s barely making a living back in Tulsa doing the only thing he knows, fronting a small time Country dancehall band…The town is divided over permitting the “Big Box”, some wanting the revenue and growth and others wanting to keep their small town heritage…The farmers and ranchers are in a 4 year drought with no relief in sight…After a heated town council meeting, tragedy strikes when a young girl winds up in a coma as a result of the feud…The townsfolk unite with a vigil for the girl, and she recovers…J.D. helps the town find a way to survive without the “Big Box”, and he finds a way to stay… The CD was recorded at Cribworks Digital Audio, Byrd House, and Abstract Audio Studios-Engineered by veteran Loggins and Messina Drummer-Producer, Merel Bregante, Singer/Songwriter-Producer Tommy Byrd, and Multi-instrumentalist-Producer Scott Moody.
