Rebel For Hire, Kimberly, Kimmy whoever you are: Disagree with Vinny all you want, but if you want to have an honest discussion, please do one thing and quit lying. Vinny had never seen Bo Cox live before last Saturday nite and certainly has never made any comment about Bo Cox being one of the best things to come out of Texas. Vinny's sorry you can't take a little constructive criticism about your boy, but stands by his original review of the show in Paris. It was dull. And Vinny finds it pretty sad and desperate that one would blame Stoney for the opening band's sound issues. C'Mon Son. Vinny's seen Austin Allsup open for Stoney at Crosswire twice. No issues with the sound. Interesting. Vinny wasn't blaming Bo Cox for pointing out that he couldn't hear the lead guitar, he was just pointing out the fact that it was unhearable unless you stood up next to the speakerbox. Again, Vinny understands that Bo Cox's fans want to see nothing but excessive adulation and admiration, but the original review was not a personal slam on the band members themselves. Do they have better in them? Maybe so, but that will have to be seen at another time. Sound should not be an issue at the Wormy Dog, because they like to crank it up to 10 there. (Unfortunately Vinny won't be able to make the April 9th show with Bo Cox opening for Adam Hood, as he is heading out to Hattiesburg, Mississippi that nite for the Ragweed/Blackberry Smoke show). In closing, it's funny how Vinny can give an honest positive review of a show and nothing is said, but if he posts a negative review, all the haters come out and make up fabricated lies. Oh well, Vinny's used to that by now. You aren't the first and certainly won't be the last. Have a nice Ragweed Day.

Whether you like or dislike Bo (I happen to like his stuff), we can all agree that Vinny (go back to the East Coast with that Yankee name) is nothing but a pompous, idiot. His opinions don't mean any more or less than anyone else's. He likes to consider himself, "Part of the scene", and we all know that he comes across as pathetic. I actually feel kind of sorry for him. Don't let his comments alter what you deem as "good" music. If we ignore him, maybe he will just go away.

Alright Kids - this is the beauty of a review: Everyone gets to express their own personal impressions of the artist and their live show. I can assure you that Bo Cox and the band welcome constructive criticism. Although, I will say that there is a difference between constructive criticism and blatant negativity. Feedback, both positive and negative, is necessary and enables the band to address what works along with allowing the band an opportunity to address any issues that may need more work or attention and therefore, strengthens the live show. The Good News Is: Bo Cox earned a lot of new fans in Paris, TX on Saturday night and the venue wants him back. You can't please everybody, and that's fine by us. And just for my own piece of mind: Some of my own thoughts on the issue. Below is the set list from Saturday night: Never Gonna Change Talkin With The Devil Good Times Tonight Whiskey Eases The Pain Between The Lines Don't Really Want To* Burning You* Bonnie & Clyde If You Want It That Much Let It Go On* Gone Rich Man's Gold *Slower Paced Songs Including Slow Songs in the Set: Personally, when I go out to a live show I anticipate a diverse set list that includes some variety. If I was looking for a full blown rock show, chances are I probably wouldn't go to Paris, TX to find it. Concerning Sound Issues: Those things are kind of out of our hands. It's not uncommon for an opener to get half the volume of a headliner, comes with the territory. We do appreciate y'all making your voices heard, one way or another. We're Listening!

@ Vinny--don't know the other two girls, so don't flatter yourself too much by thinking you know everything. You have to remember that Bo OPENED for Stoney...Bo doesn't get to do his soundcheck to his liking...he uses whatever the main show wants. So the fact that the lead was not loud enough for you, talk to Stoney. Bo's songs were slow...have you heard Stoney's new stuff? Great music but a little on the slower side. Everyone is open to opinions and I am not saying that what you have to say is wrong. I just think you had no cooth coming from someone who did nothing but talk Bo up and say that he was the one of the best things coming out of Texas....so maybe the next time you see Bo, why don't you tell him how you really feel about him...do you still think he is the best thing coming out of Texas or he is just the guy with a boring slow set that should only play Wednesday night acoustic shows?? Those who read this that know me, you where my heart lies. Support the band, don't support the band, but DO NOT talk noise about the band. Disrespect - Bo nor the band members deserve to be treated like that. As you were.

To Rebel For Hire, and the other two members of Bo Cox's fanclub: (Vinny's assuming all "three" of you are the same person, but anyways... Who cares if you got to sit down with the band and talk to them after the show or if you think he is easy on the eyes? That's not what this review section is for. Vinny is talking about the actual performance. IF you were actually there at Crosswire, you know exactly what Vinny's talking about. All his songs were slow, not upbeat. Like Vinny said earlier, the lead guitar was muffled, and the bass player looked bored. Were there a FEW dancers on the floor? Yes, to slow songs of course. And because there was nobody on the floor during Bo's set. Facts are the majority of people there were sitting down entertaining themselves or watching college basketball on the TVs waiting for Stoney to come onstage. Vinny's been to many shows at Crosswire and not many acts in this scene pack the floor there. Stoney is one of them though and if you say you didn't notice him onstage, maybe you should walk away from the merch booth area once in awhile and let Bo breathe. You girls need to understand that Vinny's review was a review on the show itself and not a slam on Bo Cox personally. Pick up the pace, especially in a full house on a Saturday nite. Have a nice Ragweed Day.

Well I was NOT at the Paris show BUT I have been to enough of Bo's shows to know that even on his worst day, he is AWESOME. It is one thing to speak in 3rd person about not enjoying a show, but to be down right rude and disrespectful to someone on a website is pretty lame. Be a real man and tell Bo in person what you didn't like about his set. Not everyone will enjoy his style, but at least he is doing more than most, and that probably includes Mr. Third Person, because I sure as heck haven't heard of you. So if you can do it better, invite me to a show and we can talk about it...until then, as you were. ;o) I heart you Bo!

Hey guys, seen Bo Cox at Crosswire in Paris Saturday night. Wasn't really in the mood to be out. But once he was on stage my mood lifted. They played up beat and great tunes. Songs that a girl loves to dance to. Plus Bo wasn't a bad sight to look at. Can't wait to see them next month at Joe's!

It's funny to see someone actually call the show a "Snoozefest." I had never heard of the Bo Cox Band, but I am so glad that I decided to actually go see Stoney on Saturday night. Bo Cox was AMAZING!! Loved all of his music. He put on a good show!! All the guys were so down to earth I got the opportunity to actually sit and talk with the group and they was amazing. I don't rememeber one thing about "Stoney" being on stage so to me he was the "snoozefest." I can't wait to see Bo Cox come back to Paris! I will most def. be at the next show.

Vinny caught Bo Cox opening for Stoney this past Saturday at Crosswire in Paris, TX. Started off ok with a cover of a Drive By Truckers tune, but the show went south after that. Too many slow songs. Maybe Jamie Sommers could hear it with her bionic hearing, but Vinny couldn't hear the lead guitar work at all. Vinny caught himself numerous times looking at his clock on his cellphone to see how much longer he'd have to endure of the snoozefest. Come on, it's Saturday nite in a packed club and you are opening for Stoney??? Pick up the pace, man. Leave the slow stuff for the Wednesday nite acoustic shows.
