Circo
Album Review
This atmospheric masterpiece finds Darden Smith exploring with some interesting sounds and it more than works. From beginning to end this new "Circo" takes you on a journey of musical excellence and the moods each song sets up, you just don't find very often anymore. Listen to Darden and Kim Richey blend their voices together in the first single "Make love so hard", just a beautiful example of the rewards you'll find giving this fine set repeated listens. One of the best so far this year. Like the best of Jackson Browne from the 70's & 80's, I haven't heard a male singer/songwriter write like this If you dig the likes of David Grey, Lyle Lovett, Damien Rice, this new collection will open your eyes.

Great new collection of songs- Darden's best so far. Great production and atmosphere abounds on all tracks. From start to finish a masterpiece of moods, sounds and not since Jackson Browne has a male songwriter opened his heart to the troubles and little victories of love and life. Love the new track "Make love so hard" with the wonderful vocals of Kim Richey. Can't say enough for this classic recording.

The latest album sucks but the rest of his stuff is really good. Midnight Train is probably in my top ten of all time. This guy is really good - don't know what happened on Sunflower.

SONGS ARE RICHLY WRITTEN WITH THE ABILITY TO CREATE PICTURES OR FEELINGS INSIDE YOUR HEAD. SATELLITE IS AWESOME AND SHOWS THE POP SIDE OF THIS SONG WRITER.
