Great songriter and a damn fine example of how varied a person's experiences can be. Where is he though? Has he gone back to Jackson? Hope not.
Chris Wall, Jerry Jeff Walker, Gary P. Nunn-if there is a heaven I'll be able to hear them there. Can't get enough. If I win the lottery they will be my threesome on a cruise ship. Off to Belieze to see "Scamp Walker". Fan from Wisconsin.
Good, stout straight-up honky-tonk stomp with intelligent lyrics. The combo of "Half of What Killed Elvis" followed by "No Sweat" then "Dylan Montana's Last Ride" is as strong a triple-shot as has ever been recorded and well worth the price of the CD.
"Just Another Place" mixes lyrics studded with gems ("we lived it fast, and we played it hard/ And we did not pay our dues my friend, with our daddy's Mastercard!)with the full-bodied, rousing melodies typical of Chris Wall's earlier works. 'Bout as close as real honky-tonk gets to cerebral, this is a mature work that will grace any collection.
Whoops. . . I meant to say "The Real Deal."

AWESOME! One of the best songwriters to ever walk the Earth. Keep the faith, and for God's sakes, please keep the music coming.
The soul of a poet lives in Chris Wall. It's good to know that the intellectual cowboy isn't dead. I was seriously worried with the passing of Waylon Jennings that the brains of the outfit might be gone, but Wall has proven to be a singer/songwriter of the first order. Guy Clark, Ray Wiley Hubbard and the like are indicative of the type genius Wall possesses. Wake up world!! Listen to the man.
Chris wall is the thinking man's texas musician. A great fellow in person and a very talented singer-songwriter. Cowboy Nation and Tainted Angel would be first on my buy list but they're all swell.
