Ever since corporate country turned its back on the Chicks ... an angelic talented honest band...I turned my back on country cause I hate honest folks...country listeners...who turn their backs on those who speak their minds freely and honestly..passionately and wisely...as they did. Thank God another honest country gal came along to fill the void...Miranda restored my faith things just may get back on track. Talented writer; stellar lyricist; old school w/ a wide spectrum of upbeat n blusey n kick bacon tunes...doesn't git no better than this. She deserves it all and earned every stripe.

Nice review moteltan. You're exactly right about what you said. Vinny's seen too many cheerleaders on here get offended if someone gives a legitimate criticism of a bad record/performance. Vinny's looking forward to his first Miranda Lambert show in January, here in OKC as she opens for Brad Paisley. Have a nice Ragweed Day.

I'm not in the market for "Texas Music" or "Texas Country" or the like. I'm in the market for Good Music--because there's just two kinds: good and bad. Much of Texas's flowers have spawned a generation of weeds, cloaked in the pep-rallying Texas flag and state bravado. This album's greatness transcends the pettiness between what is Texas or what is not--it's just plain good.

the new CD is great, saw her at the State Fair this weekend and she rocks. Has a great band to back her as well. A lot of these wanna be Texas singers out there could learn a lot from her performances.

Sell out?! Really? She's Nashville's Bad Girl! If she was a sell out she wouldn't be writing songs about Texas (can we say Pat Green?--That's a sell out). She hasn't changed up her style at all for anyone. Nashville has let her be Miranda, a talented songwriter/guitarist/singer from Lindell Texas! Don't hate because she got her break by being a contestant on Nashville Star....sounds to me you may be jealous! Keep on doing your thang Miranda! East Texas Rocks! :)---a fellow neighbor from Sulphur Springs!
