this is a great album and singer. I bought both and I admire his talent.
I think his range is fine...ok he might not yodel, but hey I pat my foot.
Good production but no soul. To polished with not much of a vocal range. Songs don't jump out at you. The only ones that do are not written by the artist.
It only took one listen, and I was back on a Texas dance floor...with a pretty blond...ready to dance until closing time. Reminiscent of early Strait, Keith's music has that wonderful combination of honky-tonk edge and real life depth. A great CD to keep on hand when you get tired of the slick, thin, and schmaltzy offerings that top 40 country has become."
I agree with the previous reviewer: extremely COOL is an understatement. The new album "DEUCE" is out now, too -- with "Too Cool For Horses" and "Hurt Me All The Time" on it. I just can't decide which of the 15 new songs is my favorite!
Keith's music is really extremely cool. This was one of the best albums I've ever bought - period.
I've also been hearing his new song TOO COOL FOR HORSES on radio now lately, and I hear another album is due out in May 2003. Can't wait.
Prime cuts: "Viento, Mi Amigo", "Cry Cry Again", "Burnin Your Bridges At Both Ends".
