Blaine's Pub IS under new ownership!!! Ya'll come back for the great music, dancing on the tables and cold beer! Check out www.blainespub.com for a complete calendar of upcoming acts scheduled to appear. Yes, Blaine's Pub is still here - and patrons old and new alike - are having a great time - again! Atmosphere is the same - attitude is even better!

When I'm not busy serving the lord I go to Blaine's Pub. Who says a preacher isn't entitled to an ice cold libation every now and then? I come here every time I'm in town to see my nephew Jsaon Neyland play football at ASU. He is good, but the beer is better! I am definitely a satisfied customer!

I went out to Sterling City, Texas to hang out with my old Aggie buddy Dave at his parents Willow Creek Ranch. We headed on into San Angelo for a night on the town with a Sterling local named Skeet Foster and were on the hunt for some Texas women. He suggested Blaine's and we agreed. We parked across the street at a bank or something and as we walked up I got the felling that this was an oasis for the west Texas cowboys to come play. Harleys out front and live music right there to your right as you walk through the door across the street. The crowd was mostly older looking cowboys with rowdy biker chicks dancing on the tables. It was crazy at first but we settled in towards the back and shot some pool. Some old country guy was setting up on stage with his band and as we threw our peanut shells on the floor we got a table that one of those biker chicks kindly stepped off of for us. I can't remeber the guy's name but I remember he used to play with Willie and wrote one of Willie's songs or somethin' along those lines. We had a good ol time and closed her down. If are a good looking female you might want to come in with some friends because you'll need em to handle those guys like us that come in from out west Texas that ain't seen a good lookin' female for awhile. There was one bar in the joint with some funny story about Willie & Weed on a fridge along with other pictures of famous country acts. All in all it was a great place for a live show because of the up close and personal feeling you get along with a bunch of friendly drunks. Or as Blaine's likes to call them, "Satisfied Customers." I've also heard the owner Blaine can make some enemies which is sad because he has a good thing going there. Mark David Manders didn't seem to like him too much. Blaine's Picnic was also a blast down by the Concho River.
