The place is big, with several bars lining the long walls. The dance floor is centered in the middle. No food served here, not even snacks are available. So far so good. Really, really annoying: Smoking is permitted and it seems that 90%+ of the patrons light up one after another, not to mention that - judging by the smell - some of them light up something else as well. From where I was, the ceiling looked incredibly filthy and in need of a professional power-cleaning, with literally tons of brown-greyish dust particles hanging there. Chairs and tables occasionally quite wobbly and hazardous. Not my kind of place.

The Horseman seems to be fun for everyone. I have been there every night of the week they are open. Weither you are looking for a younger crowd, an older crowd, or just want to relax in a laid back atmosphere and listen to live Texas music it seems to be great. The drink specials are great and it is a place where a single woman can go, and not be afraid to get out of her car. This is my new place to hang out with my friends!

I went and saw Kevin Fowler on New Year's eve. I think it was the best show I have seen and a long time.

I went to the Horseman about a year ago and the prices on the drinks were a little high. I stopped going for a while. I decided to go again when Cooder Graw was playing. The place was packed and the drink special were great. I was talking to one of the bartenders and she said that the Horseman had new owners and the first thing they did was lower the prices on the drinks. I have been back several times and the place in better than ever. The new people in charge has done a great good job.

I first visited the Horseman 2 years ago. It was great. My favorite bar! Living just 38 miles south of Dallas I was tired of the scene in Dallas. It seemed like you were lucky if country was half of the music played. The Horseman played real COUNTRY MUSIC. They played alot of TEXAS MUSIC such as Jack Ingrahm, Charlie Robison and Cross Canadian Ragweed. It was great! Then about a year ago, I went after about a 8 month hiatus. I heard and saw the same ole, same ole that I got tired of in Dallas. I understand the ladies like to be able to get on the dance floor and "show their stuff" But come on, a country bars music play list should consist of more than 70% country music. To those of you in charge at the Horseman. Play more Country Music, then your drink tallies will skyrocket. Thank you, Avid bar goer, Kevin
