This is one hip and cool joint. Jimmy and Cindy put on one hell of a party with plenty of good O' TEXAS music and some ice cold suds to wash it down with. So next time you want to get up close and personal with your favorite Texas music maker stop by Waresville Halle, Greenville, Texas!

I would have to say that of all the venues I have been to in Texas to see the great Texas singers/songwriters, Waresville Halle would have to be one of my most favorite. Jack Ingram is always my favorite show, and I am looking forward to seeing him there again this year. If you want to see your favorite singer/songwriters perform where you can be upclose from wherever you are, and be in a more intimate setting this is the place to go. You cant be this close and personal and hang out and talk to the performers anywhere else. This is a great place to go! No pushing and shoving to get closer or getting stepped allover. This is a fun and comfortable place to sit back and enjoy all those great artists that we all love.

Life Jeff and Susan, I was there for Ed Burleson for the first show. Of course, Jack Ingram was my favorite. I set my chairs up early Saturday morning so I'd be on the 'front row'. Wow! It was awesome. And of course, my name is first on the list for Jack this year. I may have to camp out to get my front row seat this year. I'm sitting here listening to my new Slaid Cleaves cd. I keep telling myself I don't need to buy a cd this time, but I do every time. Check out Cindy's website, waresvillehalle.com. Thx! JJ

Hello, Just wanted to say a few things about Waresville Halle in Greenville, TX. I'm 48 years old and never liked much country music. Jimmy and Cindy Ware of Waresville told me "Texas Music isn't really country." The first show (before it had the halle) was Ed Burleson-it was country but very enjoyable. Since then we've been back for Jack Ingram- WOW! It was Jack, a stool, and a guitar -FANTASTIC-. Now I own 2 Jack Ingram cd's. Randy Rogers and Brady Johnson were our next trip to Warsville Halle- WOW! Nothing like the artist performing songs they've written with friends. It was easy to see, Randy and Brady put a lot of themselves into their performance. Next was Max Stalling- hellava nice guy, but a little too country for me. The next show was Susan Gibson's Band. They were good, but started early and left early for a booking (late night in Big D). We missed Bruce Robison but our friends said it was great. I know this is way too long for a review, but being a real fan of alternative and rock and roll, I must admit my cd collection has broadened since seing my first show at Waresville Halle. My wife and myself and 3 sets of friends will be there for Jack's second show. Waresville Halle is great IF....you like: crystal clear sound, close proximity to the stage, a chance to visit with the artist and band members after and during the show, people not talking while someone is playing, someone saying excuse me if they walk in front of you, and last but not least two people (Jimmy and Cindy Ware) who LOVE people and Texas Music. Hope to meet you in Greenville. Sorry for the length, Jeff and Susan

Nice, intimate venue with really nice people. I gave myself a treat and drove to Greenville for the Slaid Cleaves show in Jan 2004. Cindy Ware sent me great directions. When I got there, I parked and walked down the dusty road to the "halle", a building constructed as if it were a barn but with colored glass windows with guitars painted on. The "halle" is across from the big barn where the musicians were hanging out until the show started on one side, and across from the "shed"? where the folks from Greenville were enjoying a pot luck supper on the other side. The gang was so friendly that I wanted to move there...and I'm from Austin! Cindy's sister, Jackie, took me under her wing and introduced me to all her friends. I also enjoyed meeting Cindy's mom, Billie, who traded stories with me. I had seen Slaid Cleaves a couple of times before, and this was by far the best show I've seen just because it was such an intimate venue.

If you are into Texas Music for the music, then you need to see your favorite artist/musician/songwriter at Waresville Halle. Being a smaller venue, you get a chance to be upclose to the artist, and in turn, it brings out a more personal performance from the artist. They interact with the audience, and add personal insights behind the songs. It is wonderful experience, and everyone is there for the same reason. THE TEXAS MUSIC. If you're up near Greenville or looking to do a roadtrip - Waresville Halle is a great, great place to see Texas Music at it's best!
