What a fun place! Hunter is a great guy who loves to help out the new artists and support the ones who are already on "the way". It's a true honky-tonk bar in the most "complimentary" sense.

I am a big fan of this place. It is worth driving from College Station to just to get a beer. It has the aura of an establishment that appreciates your business.

I really, really, really, like this place a lot! It feels the way a bar should, from the time you walk inside to the time you crawl outside!

This is a fun bar. The owner, Hunter, is stand-up cool. I can't wait to hang out there again.

Cool bar, good local people that come out, top lewvel talent and a 3 foot glory hole in the bathroom. Great place to hang your hat.

The Texas Tavern is a good club overall. It's a small club with a good atmosphere, the people are friendly and it's nice to be able to interact with the bands. The drinks are cheaper than alot of places and the door charges are reasonable. If I had one complaint it would be the bathroom's but they swear they are working on it...so we'll see I guess. Overall if you want to hear good live music from Texas artists I would recomend this bar.
