I have to meet this wife of Pat Green's. She sounds wonderful. At least according to Pat & Willie.

Excellent Album! These songs are all fun to listen to. Whether you are trying to relax or just on a road trip. The songs tell stories and make you think. Some really good old and new stuff.

Well Pat Green isnt that bad, but Robert Earl Keen and Roger Creager are way better singers here in Texas. The only really good song is Three Days, and the rest sucks.

Thats right, one star. Sure hes got a couple good songs. But, lets get some more new material for this cd. Ya, I know everyone loves Pat Green, well it dont matter. Hes not that good. Its time for everyone to switch over to a real Texas song writer, Robert Earl Keen. For the money ole Robert Earl is much better. Or, if you really want to do good, buy some Bob Wills, he was the original Texas songwriter.

HERE'S WHAT PAT HAD TO SAY... One of GREEN's favorite cuts is "Who's To Say" written with Walt Wilkins and Mark Winston Kirk. "'Who's To Say' is kind of a slam back to people who say I write a lot of songs about drinking beer and being happy," GREEN says. "My comment back to them is 'Who are you to judge me? Enjoy yourself and lighten up.' "I have a deep responsibility to my job," GREEN says. "People don't go out and see concerts and buy records because they want to think about work or other stresses in their lives. They listen to music to relax, to get away from things that have been dumped on them. They also associate music with times during their lives. It's my job to make sure that they have those memories and to foster their creativity and love and joy. Music is there to perpetuate what is happening in their lives and see them through it.

This album is no Live at Billy Bobs. But its not the worst either. His song "Wrong side of Town" is one that could be listend to over and over. I wouldnt recomend for anyone to bye the album but defiently get some of his older works because he is the son of texas country.

It's not classic Pat Green, but it's probably a good introduction to the north-of-the-Red-River listener to Texas music. "Threadbare Gypsy Soul" might be the best Pat Green song yet, and the damn-near-live-sounding version of "Southbound 35" just rocks. But I'd rather hear "Galleywinter," "Take Me Out to the Dancehall" and "Crazy" on Carry On. The new versions of these are why the "Skip" button was invented. I think it's a little soon to say he's gone Nashville, but he has the line in clear sight.

I honestly don't think that everyone should be condemning Pat Green for this album. Sure it has a lot of previously released stuff on it, but that's because he's trying to get some of his best songs out to the entire country. For those who say that he has gone "Nashville," you don't know very much do you? Pat didn't go to Nashville, we went to a private label in New York and told them he wanted to do his own music his own way, and they signed him up. It wouldn't surprise me if the Nashville "powers that be" are a little pissed that he skipped the enitre Nashville inner circle all together. I think Pat Green will survive, I mean no one disowned Robert Earl when he put two albums out with Arista Records, but now his gone to an indpendent label.
