There's no way you can talk about REK like that. He's the reason that everyone now is doing what they are doing and is a legend in Texas.
The guy is milking it. Worse than Jerry Jeff. We're down to 2-4 songs per CD that have anything to them and half of those are not written by REK. Repeat upon repeat. Come on, Bob - get back to work. Listen to some Guy, Rodney or Walt. At least do a cover of "Everclear" for God's sake.

I'm guessing that because you frequent this sight that you are probably a big fan of great bands like the randy rogers band, and wade bowen and his band. Righting a poor review on Robert Earl Keen is the most ignorant thing an avid listener of texas music can do. He is the reason why this movement has exploded. I watched an acoustic show with wade bowen and randy rogers last year in san marcos where wade said, and randy agreed with him, that robert earl keen is the primary reason why they do what they do.
Evidently, Kyle's vision is limited to only those songs he likes and not to songs that are considered great by the true REK fans. Hey Kyle...I got an idea...buy West Textures, A Bigger Piece of Sky or Gringo Honeymoon if you want all of those songs on the same album. Truth is, if you don't have CDs from Robert's earlier days, then you're probably not a true REK fan anyways...just a typical spoiler that's so weak he feels that finally he has a voice...so you abuse it by giving a true artist a bad review.
Robert, you and your music will always be a staple for the Texas roudy and proud. Thanks for always having something new to listen to...even if it is a Greatest Hits. You know, just like Willie, you could write anything you want to at this point. You've made a name for yourself already.
Since basically Robert Earl has become the biggest nostalgia act in Texas country (he's released 3 live albums and 3 best-ofs, all in the last 3 years), and since this album is called "Best" but really doesn't contain his best material at all, I thought it would be appropriate to put out and album called "Worst". It would have to be a double album, and will contain all of the songs from "Farm Fresh Onions" and "Gravitational Forces", and maybe throw in another bonus live album, since he doesn't have very many, and then his transformation into boring hack will be complete.

Oh come now Hoss, leave ol' Robert Earl alone now. He's just a good ol' boy tryin' to play some good tunes. Go sit down there in the kichen there and eat cha some of them there grits mama cooked ya and keep hushed until pa gets home.
Oh great! Another "Best of" with repeats like, "Merry Christmas from the family". Robert, for God's sake, PLEASE get some new material.
