love love love "somewhere in time" good to know theres still good music being made out there... reckless kelly is def one of my favorite bands
This album is beyond brilliant. What a great thing to do. Introduce people to the brilliant Pinto Bennett. Such an amazing songwriter. The playing is top notch and the vocals are great. This was a gutsy move by RK and it really proves that this band always puts good music first.
This isn't your typical RK album with the grunge and rusted sound. At first i didnt like it but its starting to grow on me. If your thinking of buying this CD as your first RK CD dont! buy one of their other ones then move on to this one.
These 5 stars are simply for Cody's vocals on "I've Done Everything I Could Do Wrong". Really Good. They should let him sing a little more.
wasn't too sure about this album going in. but after listening to all the songs a few times it definitely went above my expectations. not bad.
God, I hate to admit it, but this is the second time recently that I agreed with VTS. The new RK CD is very good; not great, and certainly not reflective of what they do routinely. That being said, it's a great cover album, worthy of your hard earned money. So VTS, talk to me about Shurman's newest CD. Could we possibly agree 3 times?
Best RK album bar none? C'Mon Son. Get real. This album is what it is. A Pinto Bennett cover album, so how can it be taken seriously as an RK album? If you are a fan of Pinto and old school country, then yeah, they did a pretty decent job covering his tunes, but to say this is the best RK album? Wow, that's not saying much about their original stuff, is it? There are a few songs that Vinny could see fitting in to the regular setlist that a regular RK crowd could get in to: Bottle, Idaho Cowboy, and maybe Thelma. Those are all pretty solid.
Got mine yesterday, best Reckless Album bar none, and I love all of them. I saw glimpses of this on RKWH. If you own no other Reckless Kelly you should buy this one.
Love the sound, this is one their studio recordings period.
