Shakespeare's Pub was opened in 1990 by two English professors who wanted a place where they could enjoy good draught beer and their favorite types of music. Despite the name, this smoky, dimly lit hideaway is not a place for discussing literature, but a venue for live blues and zydeco six nights a week. Shakespeare's Pub presents some of the best regional and nationally touring bands on Friday and Saturday nights and prides itself on never charging a cover.
