County Road 5 was established in the fall of 2003 and has exceeded the expectations of its members and fans alike. The group has endured the rough terrain of finding permanent members, creating a marketable product, and establishing their identity. After a period of performing shows, writing original music, and refining the art of entertaining they released their first album entitled “Drink about it” in 2007.This album contains “Drink I couldn’t handle” which has been featured frequently on radio, internet, and television! Other tunes from this collection have been winning fans of all ages and County Road 5’s popularity is increasing daily. The demand for new product was so great the group assembled an effort to create “Out of control at the Hilltop”. This album is a live recording at “Hilltop Bar” in Tonganoxie Kansas featuring a few favorites from their freshman album along with some new material. Coupled with other marketing efforts in 2008 County Road 5 released a music video for “Drink I couldn’t handle”. The video is featured on GAC, You Tube, Lone Star Music, and Ya’ll Wire. The song was also a top requested favorite on Radio Free Texas spending several weeks in the #1 spot! Armed with momentum and more new material a much anticipated third album is slated for release in 2009. A few tunes from this album have already been selected as “Singles” for radio play and a deal with CMT is in the works with a feature spot as theme music for a new show on the station. The journey continues and County Road 5 eagerly invites all to join in the exciting ride!
