David Fenley would describe his music as "Texas Soul" and soulful it is with his deep, rich voice often compared to Joe Cocker and Otis Redding, and his heartfelt lyrics. Born in Lufkin, Texas David first began singing at the age of two when his mother would coax him to sing Honky Tonk Man for the family. Equipped with musical genes from his Father, who sings in a gospel quartet, David has excelled in his extraordinary talent. He began performing and writing his own songs with a band he formed in High School. Even at the age of 16 his songs had a pure honesty. His influences included Percy Sledge, Ronnie Milsap, Travis Tritt; any singer with soul gives him inspiration and it truly shines in his new album. "Pocket Full of Dirt" is an expression of his life and dreams. His sincere love songs like "It'll Be Alright," "This Day," "Beautiful World," "Again," and "East Texas Lullaby" express who he is and his upbringing. This album is exceptional and signifies proof that real music and love songs still exist today.

Great new album by a true Tx talent. Dave has really grown as a songwriter and a storyteller. The live show is a "must see." Do not go another day without hearing this beautiful gift of a record. It's stacked with music for everyone.

This man is AWESOME!!! I was introduced by a close friend. Every-time I come to San Antonio I make his show at the 50/50. I have both albums and they are GREAT!

I have seen David play at Mountain Breeze campsite for the past 3 Memorial Day Weekends. Those concerts (played with only acoustic guitars) are some of the best i have ever attended. Great music, great banter with the audience, and great show in general. We are all so thankful that he plays there. Keep it up!

I met David during a fishing tournament on lake Conroe. We talked for a while, he was doing a show for a resteraunt the next day. I learned alot from him in that conversation, and he invited me to come sing with him at his show. But I regretably declined. He is a wonderful person, hilarious, and an incredible musician. Love the music man, ur a true inspiration. See sometime soon and best of luck to ya.

No question in my mind David Fenley is going to make it - heard him in Lukenback one Sunday afternoon and it was clear that between his lyrics and music he was a special musician. Bought the CD there and his Texas Soul voice just grabs me. It will you too. When everyone knows him, you'll be able to say you've been listening to him for years. Spread the love man. Jack

Live Central Texas Music
This is a *MUST* have CD! David Fenley's voice could be described as a cross between Richie Havens and Joe Cocker, but both of those legends lack the intense passion and pure love this rare gem shares with everyone who listens. As moving and beautiful as his music can be, it pales when compared to the man himself. Do yourself a favor and catch him live, buy his music. Listen to him in a quiet room and let his energy seep into your pores. Spread love like Peanut Butter, and spread this CD around like wildfire!

We have known David since he was a little boy in Lufkin Texas. David has always had a special place in my heart. My husband and I were overwhelmed when we heard the music from David's cd, A Pocketful of Dirt. We believe he has an amazing voice and look forward to him becoming a shining star in the music industry. Way to go David! Love, Ed, Brenda and family.
