Kensie Coppin is a traditional country music singer/songwriter from the great state of Texas! Growing up in South Central Texas, Kensie has been frequenting and singing in well respected dance halls and venues such as Gruene Hall, Cheatham Street Warehouse, The Cotton Club, River Road Icehouse, Whiskey Girl Saloon, The Hole in the Wall, and many many others since she was 8 years old. She toured the Texas Opry circuit as a child between the ages 8-12 years old until Her family uprooted to Nashville when she was just 13 to allow her to grow up around the business and learn how to write songs. Throughout her 6 years in Nashville, she wrote many songs with writers such as Wes Hightower, Bryan Wayne, Dale Dodson, Greg Bates, Curly Putnam, Will Bowen, Dani Flowers, Terri Jo Box and many others. There were also artists she opened for during her teenage years such as Bruce Robison, Two Tons of Steel, Josh Turner, Rivers Rutherford, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Randall King Band, Trent Wilmon, and many others. She occasionally accompanies William Clark Green to sing a duet off of his album "Ringling Road", written and recorded with Dani Flowers. William Clark Green also performed a duet on Kensie's self-titled album "Kensie Coppin" that she wrote with Greg Bates called "You Still Need Me".
Kensie recorded her album July of 2015 at Bismeaux Studios in Austin, Texas. She co-produced her record with the talented Sam Seifert, producing a traditional country music album influenced by artists like George Strait, Tammy Wynette, Shania Twain and Miranda Lambert. Her roots run deep in country music and strives to make a difference in bringing back a sound of steel guitar, fiddle and deep grand piano. Kensie is working toward getting a band together, and will be touring by the end of July to Alabama, Florida, France, and Texas. She is self managed and self taught on singing, guitar, songwriting and performing. Her passion will continue as this 25 year old entertainer strives to be successful as a Texas, national and global artist
