The band Level Route was formed in the practice room above the garage of guitar player Coby Reese. After a few practices it was clear to everyone in the band that they were on to something. The bluesy riffs of bass player Jeremy Lee mixed with the solid rock-driven styles of drummer Jason Pruett definitely gives the band its rock edge. Yet, the folk and country influences of lead singer/songwriter Zack Jones and the incendiary tone of lead guitar player Coby Reese definitely keeps the bands sound organic. Since forming in the fall of 2004, Level Route has opened up for Texas music sensations such as Trent Willmon, The Mike McClure Band, Mark David Manders, Redneck, Jason Boland, Stoney Larue, The Great Divide, Brandon Jenkins, The Randy Rogers Band, Brandon Rhyder, and Rodney Pyeatt. Level Route has taken their special brand of "Texas/Red Dirt Music" to venues all over NE Texas and SE Oklahoma, packing houses with their raw, high energy live performances. The band recently has recently released thier debut album on the Boo Hatch Records Independent label. The "Self Titled" project was produced by Red Dirt pioneer Mike McClure and engineered by Travis Linville at Dirty Bird Studios in Norman, OK. Mixing and mastering was done by Joe Hardy, Casa de Joe, Houston, TX. Hardy's long list of credits include, most notably, Steve Earle's Copperhead Road album. Currently, the first single from the record, "Rolling Stone" is being consistantly added to station playlists in several major market areas of both Texas and Oklahoma.
