1993-1995 Her first project, Black Pearl , a straight ahead rock band, sells thousands of CDs WITHOUT LABEL SUPPORT. The single "Like a Rocket " is placed in heavy rotation on 93.7 KLBJ-FM, Austin-TX (Billboard's #1 Rock Station of the Year), and stays within the top 15 played songs for over 10 weeks. That same song is placed on two Aaron Spelling TV shows: Robin's Hoods (Syndicated TV), and Kindred: The Embraced (Fox Network).
1995-1996 Lisa decides to go solo in search of more stylistic freedom. Drawing from her roots in an eclectic environment, and working with some of Austinās heaviest musicians (Malford Milligan-Storyville, Brannen Temple, and Chris Maresh-Stephen Bruton, to name a few), she records In the Water, which is released in October 1996. Itās received with great praise, and lots of airplay, both regionally and abroad, which sprouts substantial major label interest.
1997 The year is promising. The album is off to a very good start: Two of its songs are placed on Melrose Place and one during the opening credits of Beverly Hills 90210 . She lands #2 on The Bob Harris Show (Top 10 Current CD Playlist/BBC Greater London Radio, London, England), with the song "Get Thru You," which increases major label interest. Sheās voted Best Female Vocalist of the Year by the Austin Chronicle.
Then on May 3rd, she falls victim to a drunk driver and is rear ended at high speed, sending her unconscious to the emergency room. Head, neck, chest and abdominal trauma put her physically out of commission for seven months. Album sales slow down without support, and labels stop calling.
Struggling with memory problems and intense head and neck pain, she manages to find the energy and time, between physical and cognitive therapies, to continue writing new material.
1998-1999 With a new perspective on life, Lisa's performance is more passionate than ever; and the material from her 1999 release Picture Me There carries a fresh stamp of strength and hope, delivered in that uniquely soulful, powerful and charismatic way which defines Lisa Tingle.
2000 She records the Live at the Lucky Lounge CD (an acoustic performance) in response to overwhelming requests from her diehard Lucky Lounge Friday fans. Later in the year she releases her latest effort: Paradise , which has already been received with great praise and reviews.
