Making his way in the footsteps of those that came before him in the Texas music scene, singer/songwriter Manzy Lowry carries on in outlaw tradition, country soul, and Texas pride as simply heard in his music.

The Ballinger, Texas born songster grew up learning music from his grandmother that would follow him up till his days in college. Inspired and influenced by Jason Boland, Roger Alan Wade, and Zach Huckabee, Lowry picked up a guitar, learned a few chords and began to create music in the style of those he followed. It was soon after that he heard the songs of Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt that he was on to create the kind of songs that could tell a story.

Rough around the edges and dusty as an old bible left on the bookshelf for many years might be a mere idea of the feel of Manzy’s music from a listen or two. Pictures might be painted in your mind of a particular place in time in his story songs or it may just make you a proud Texan.

The Manzy Lowry Band was formed in Late 2012 and brought together by members, Paul Nipper on Upright Bass, Kevin Mitchell Lead Guitar, and Jeff Cooper Percussion. Hitting the highway and working hard playing shows across Texas and beyond. Playing such venues as Cheatham Street Warehouse and Jacks in San Marcos, to Riley's Tavern and Tavern in the Gruene for a few examples of the hill country venues.

MLB is excited to announce the release of their first full-length album, Muddy Waters, the summer of 2014.
