They have developed a sound that ties their passion for the Blues to their Country roots. Think TEXAS SOUL! You can find elements of the old "outlaw" music in their attitude and in the way they push the boundaries of today’s music.
It was in high school after hearing two brothers, James and Steven Guckenheimer, perform a rendition of “Why Georgia,” that Matt Boggs searched out Steven in the band hall to ask him to become his guitarist. This was the beginning of a lasting kinship as the Matt Boggs Band. Later, James and Steven started an additional band called Rigby, with long-time friend Benji Harris. Following college, Rigby had the opportunity to become the opening and backing band for Matt Boggs after he had been a finalist on CMT's Can You Duet. Soon after, Prophets and Outlaws was born.
Now, along with multi-instrumentalist C.J. Thompson, Jamie "Jelly" Ringholm on the organ, keys and melodica and bass slayer Todd Birdwell, this literal band of brothers searches for new and exciting experiences in the wonderful world of music #PAO
