Hailing from San Antonio Texas and founded in the summer of 2006, the South Texas Destroyers have quickly become one of the Texas music scenes hottest new up and coming acts. With a unique and original sound that mixes traditional country with blues and southern rock, along with songwriting that deals with true stories of heartache, happiness, life, and loss; they have managed to raise the eyebrows of central Texas fans and industry insiders alike. Touring behind their self titled CD, released in July of 2008, the South Texas Destroyers are James Pardo (Lead/Background vocals/ Acoustic guitar), Will Owen-Gage (Lead/Background vocals/ Lead guitar), Henry Macias (Background vocals, Bass guitar), and Eddie Gough (Drums). In the short time this band has been together, they have managed to secure regular gigs at some of Texas’ most respected venues, making regular stops in Luckenbach, Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos Texas, Floore’s Country Store in Helotes Texas, and also securing a regular Wednesday night slot for the month of June at the famed and historic Gruene Hall in Gruene Texas. With an already busy and rapidly growing tour schedule, as well as having a reputation for being willing to go anywhere at anytime to do a show, you can rest assured that the South Texas Destroyers are a band that you will not forget once you’ve seen them.
