TEXAS JAMM BAND -Bio

What began years ago as a weekly local jam session in San Marcos, Texas, for some of  George Straits’ Ace In The Hole band members, plus several other great players, unintentionally grew into a successful honky-tonking, hard-driving country band of seasoned musicians.

Their popularity over the years has expanded from that weekly local jam to other venues, concerts, private parties, and corporate events in Texas and many other states.

December 2012 will mark the sixth year that The Texas Jamm Band featuring Members of Ace in the Hole has played in Las Vegas, Nevada during the National Rodeo Finals. First at the Mirage, and now their second year doing a 10 night run at the Gold Coast.

The band has changed a little over time, but the music remains the same as it was when the group originally started out, filling the dance floor of that college night club while the club-goers partied and danced their feet off.

And now they have officially released their debut CD, The Texas Jamm Band to go along with their super fun live performances.

  Their stellar lineup of musicians includes, Mike Daily on steel guitar, an original and founding member of The Ace in the Hole band; Ron Huckaby on piano and long time band leader of the Ace in the Hole Band; Benny McArthur on lead vocals, lead guitar and fiddle, also long time member of The Ace in the Hole Band; Joe Manuel on lead vocals, and lead guitar, a seven year member of the Ace in the Hole Band, Joe also did several years of touring as Merle Haggards front man, and musician on tours with Randy Travis and Lee Ann Womack; Tom Batts on lead vocals and bass, a long time Texas honky tonk veteran; Haydn Vitera on lead vocals, lead guitar, and fiddle. Haydn was a regular on tour with Rick Trevino, 2^nd fiddle with Asleep at the Wheel for several years and many others. Dan Dreeben is on drums. Dan is a most sought after live and session player in the San Antonio area. And last but not least, Chris Whitten on fiddle, who has done tours with Kevin Fowler and Vince Gill among many others.
