Tracy Weinberg was raised in the Chicago area; living near famed Ravinia Park, he had the good fortune to hear live music there ranging from the Chicago Symphony to Ravi Shankar to Iron Butterfly. Taking up banjo at age 16 because "everyone else played guitar," he has always had eclectic tastes and played non-traditional music on the 5-stringed instrument. His most notable musical influences include Louis Armstrong, Leon Redbone, Tom Waits, and Bela Fleck. Over the past 10 years, Tracy has performed at many venues in Central Texas, most notably the Cactus Cafe. Two songs from Mountains of Dreams appear in the recent film, DisAssocationVille.

The Other Way Around, Tracy Weinberg's second album of original songs, covers a wide range of American music, including blues, folk, swing, and more. The follow-up to his well-received first release, Mountains of Dreams, which received national and international airplay and charted at #29 on the Folk DJ playlist in April 2012, The Other Way Around offer an ironic and humorous view of the world, even when dealing with serious issues.

Working with co-producer and talented musician Tommy Byrd (Byrd and Street), The Other Way Around features well-known Austin performers, including Warren Hood (The Waybacks) on mandolin and violin, Stanley Smith (Asylum Street Spankers) on clarinet, and Chip Dolan on various keyboards, along with many other talented local musicians.
