It’s a safe bet that one of the 12 Chase for the Sprint Cup contenders will walk away with the AAA Texas 500 trophy. Chase contenders have won 10 of the previous 11 races, and of the 12 drivers, nine have visited Victory Lane at “The Great American Speedway!” The only Chase contenders that are winless at TMS in Cup competition are Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick.

Country music legend Willie Nelson will headline the American Red Cross “Salute Our Troops” Pre-Race Show leading up to the start of the AAA Texas 500. Nelson’s 45-minute concert, beginning at 12:30 p.m. CT, will highlight the festivities. Fans can purchase a special “mosh pit” ticket that will allow fans to experience the concert, as well as driver introductions, from in front of the front stretch stage. The “mosh pit” tickets are $79 and can be purchased by visiting www.texasmotorspeedway.com, or by calling the TMS ticket office at (817) 215-8500.

Foreigner lead singer Kelly Hansen will sing the National Anthem prior to Sunday’s AAA Texas 500. It will be his second visit to Texas Motor Speedway, having performed with Foreigner in 2009 for the Samsung Mobile pre-race shows.
