Miranda Lambert developing ABC Family show based on her childhood

Country music star and Tishomingo resident Miranda Lambert is developing an hourlong drama for the ABC Family network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show will be based on Lambert’s childhood in Texas. The scripted drama would revolve around a family in Texas whose parents are private investigators, with the children assisting in solving crimes, the trade publication reports.

Lambert, who finished third on the first season of USA’s Nashville Star in 2003, would serve as an executive producer with her mother Beverly, manager Marion Kraft and Kapital Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan. Scott Kaufer of “Memphis Beat” will write and executive produce.

Lambert has achieved great success musically with the emotional hit “The House That Built Me,” which she didn’t write but closely mirrors events in her childhood.
