These guys are amazing. So creative and insanely talented. I own orange and can't wait to get their new cd. Anyone out there who doesn't know who these guys are should definately pick up their albums. Their not only good at what they do, but their very nice guys also.

The Charlie Shafter Band is a more-than-amazing compilation of rock, blues, and folk. The writing is fantastic, but it is the overall sound of the band that is so compelling. The new music is of its own nature, things I've never heard before. Definitly the most promising upcoming act around!

Hear em lots of times, great band amazing talent. Don't know who Tex is, but I think he has serious issues, that could use some professional help. What is the legal limit on Bob Dylan covers?

Tex is a little twerp who got thrown out of the Bluelight for bad mouthing other singers at an open mic night. It sat in the audience with his mommy and told anyone within earshot how, "This guy sucks!" When Charlie asked to be quiet, he threw a hissy fit and was thrown out by the bouncers. Now he comes here to get even, but who cares what this little punk thinks, If you want to know something about Charlie's song writing ability ask Cody Canada, Mike McClure, Jack Ingram or Randy Rogers. They don't know who this idiot is and never will.

The band's original sound is decent but not enough to make me ever forget the self important schmuck with a microphone at centerstage. Huge Wallflowers ripoff featuring emotionally void cookie-cutter factory line commercially oriented vocals and weak, uninteresting chord patterns. Then proceeded to nail a Rolling Stones song to the cross in front of everybody- "You Can't Always Get What you Want" i think it was. But the worst was when the frontman came to singer-songwriter night at the Blue Light and gave himself a license to play Bob Dylan covers freely... maybe in Chicago, Charlie... but in Texas writing a song means WRITE A DAMN SONG!

Great debut cd. The sick thing is the new stuff is even better. Wish you would record a live cd though, with all your material and bunch of covers also.
