James McMurtry
Artist Review
I've seen James live in Gruene and he is by far one of best performers out there nothing else out there compares to his raw lyrics and southern lifestyle he portrays in each and every song he sings

And I'm ultra right wing and by far my favorite liberal artist. Enjoy every thing he puts out. When is the next album?

Let go brother, United we stand! Love the music, and the collaboration. You are "muey" talented, no need to change the world!

Where'd You Hide the Body
Somebody has to post a review of this thing. My opinion wavers as to whether this is actually better than "Too Long in the Wasteland", but it's certainly pretty close, and far stronger than any of the rest of his albums apart from the first. A buddy of mine worked as a public health inspector in Levelland, Texas, so I understood the song "Levelland" maybe a bit better than the average listener, but even if you've never been to that part of Deepest America, it's a powerful song. "Rachael's Song" still brings tears to my eyes for reasons I still don't understand. "Iolanthe", "Down Across the Delaware", and "One More Winter" are other McMurty character-songs that work very well. Recommended.

the talent and good voice were more than drowned out by the polotics and mediocre music.
