We were just hoping Rich would quit singing and let his guitar player sing more. He has a good voice. Rich is off key.
i saw rich and his band play at the Firehouse in Houston a few months ago. His music isn't great, but he has some entertaining songs and he is an enthusiastic live performer. It was a pretty fun show, everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. I honestly probably wouldn't but the cd (like i said, the music is just not great), but it is pretty decent compared to what some other stuff i've heard on texas radio and radiofreetexas
I read the review below, and I saw rich in concert this weekend, and he is a good singer.
WOW!! This is one hell of a review page! Let me first say that I dont own this CD. Here's the real deal for all looking for an UNBIASED review. After hearing alot about Rich in the College Station scene I went to Harrys to see him open for Randy Rogers. Great show! Better than 90% of other up and coming artists. Awesome band! Just one complaint, RICH CANNOT SING! Almost to the point of leaving, I decided to listen anyway since I love live music. MUSIC being the key word here. Now, after hearing 2 or 3 songs on the radio and really listening to everything, Ive come to find out that....RICH CANNOT SING! Lyrics wierd, but good music will always cover weak lyrics. Whoever he used for musicians on his CD deserve all the credit of making him sound OK enough to put on the radio. I'd personally love to know who his promoter is cause if he can get RICH on the radio............... Anyway, thats my opinion and good job to Rich for getting a spot on Texas radio (We all know thats hard to do!) and good luck in the future. To all who want to bash me now for saying he can't sing, go ahead, I wont "check back" here later, just leaving my review.
Once again, good luck to ALL Texas artists in a world where radio stations and bar owners live by the phrase "It's not WHAT you know, It's WHO you know."
