This is quickly becoming my favorite cd of all time. Start to finish all great songs. And there is no way Wade Bowen is a sell out with this CD!!
T-Boz you are crazy!! I don't think you even know what music is by that comment. Wade Bowen is great. He is the next big thing and his music is awesome. He puts his heart and soul into everything he does. Have you been to a live show? Obviously not? Get a life!
Wade Bowen is one of my favorite musicians, but I am really having a hard time getting into this cd. I think his voice sounds so cool, but he just can't get into all these slow songs on Lost Hotel. He is still awesome live, and i will still go see him anytime he is close to Kansas City. I was just really expecting more from this.
El Hombre, your are a freaking idiot. Selling out is not trying to make some money. It's when an artist gives up his artsitic influence on his own album just to make some money. Now I do agree with you as far as Wade Bowen goes, in no way has he sold out, the truth is that his music is not marketable on mainstream country radio. He is rock solid country and is one of my favorites.
The production $$ was spent but you just can't make this gay brand of knock off Tex-Nashville tripe sound any better than it really does. Seriously, this has more in common with Rascal Flatts than it does with Americana or dare I say, country music. The words are meaningless, the music is without edge, and it will be forgotten ton quicker than any other semi pop project like TLC. T-Boz out!
Definitely one of the best albums I've bought in a long time. Ranks right up there with Randy Rogers Band's Rollercoaster. Love "God Bless this Town" and "Walkin' Along the Fenceline". Very cool!
I love Wade Bowen and have had the privelege to meet the man about a year 1/2 ago. This is an awsome album...but the only gripe I have about it is there are not enough upbeat songs on it. The album is kind of depressing and most of the time I'm not in the right mood for most of the songs on it....not that they aren't great songs with awsome lyrics.
i love this CD! One I catch myself leaving in the player and listening to time after time. Caught WB in Dallas... very cool and very humble. Dang man, he's good. Love Mood Ring. Very clever...
Justin....you say it's a good CD then accuse him of selling out and say he has lost a fan. I guess I missed how he had sold out. And I'm not so sure I even know what selling out means. If that means taking steps to make some money and be successful then it would be pretty damn stupid NOT to sell out. Kinda like it's pretty damn stupid to accuse people of selling out. Just exactly what did he do to sell out? This is a fine CD.
